BECAUSE NOTHING IS AS BEAUTIFUL AS TRAVELLING THROUGH AFRICA..

Welcome to my website! I’m Cynthia, and I reside in Dordrecht. Why did I start this website? Well, the answer is quite simple: I have a profound love for animals, nature, Africa, and writing. So, I decided to merge all these passions into one!

For over 18 years, I’ve worked as a trainer specializing in diversity, inclusion, and connection. During my previous job, in 2012, I had the opportunity to travel to South Africa for an exchange project.

Something extraordinary happened during that journey – I fell in love. In love with Africa… Yes, it might sound cliché, but it’s the absolute truth! The people, the awe-inspiring nature, and the wildlife left a profound impact on me. It was challenging to return home, and I even shed a tear at the airport. Once back, I quickly realized how much I missed Africa. I just knew I had to go back…

2 LOVE AFRICA: WHAT’S THE STORY?!

Now this website is called ‘Two love Africa’. Well, I have to say that it took quite a while, but after lots of nagging and pulling out all of my charms, I finally got my love Joost to go to South Africa with me. I really wanted to share this feeling with him so that he would understand. He preferred to go back to Asia or another destination, because Africa “didn’t appeal to him.” But, as soon as he was in Africa, exactly what I hoped for happened.. He also fell head over heels for this beautiful African country! YES! And to be honest, of course I said ‘I told you so?’ and ‘See?’ 100 times during our trip..

And so, our shared passion was ignited. Following an incredible journey through South Africa, we ventured to Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and our adventure is far from over! Our ultimate dream? Initiating an overland expedition in a 4×4 Land Cruiser through various African countries, for an extended period.

On this website I would really like to share our experiences with you and give you our tips, hoping it will be useful for you. I certainly don’t call myself an expert, but above all a huge enthusiast! In addition to his job in healthcare, Joost also works as a (wedding) photographer, so on this website you will also find his most beautiful photos – made in Africa – and we will also share tips about how to take the most beautiful photos during your trip through Africa. I hope we can help and inspire you by sharing some of our tips and experiences.

Africa is, of course, an enormous continent, and there’s still so much we haven’t explored and experienced. That’s why we provide a platform for fellow travelers to share their stories and experiences here. Our goal is to make our website a rich source of diverse information and African experiences that can inspire and assist you. We hope you enjoy your reading!
